Tip 1: Differentiate Between Urgent and Important
- Urgent and Important: These tasks need immediate attention and are crucial for your goals.
- Important but Not Urgent: These tasks are important for long-term success but don’t require immediate action.
- Urgent but Not Important: These tasks need to be done soon but don’t significantly contribute to your goals.
- Not Urgent and Not Important: These tasks are neither urgent nor important.
For example, if you have a project deadline approaching (urgent and important), a long-term planning task (important but not urgent), a meeting that can be rescheduled (urgent but not important), and a routine task with little impact (not urgent and not important), prioritize them based on these categories.

Of course, social media does not have to be 100% business. We use social media to connect with loved ones, update friends on important life events or watch a funny cat video. But after you are done with all your tasks, get off the application. If you have to, set a timer or load an application (on all of your devices) that will limit your exposure.
